This message is from the VE Coordinator from Williamsburg:
Our October VE Sessions will be held on Saturday October 28, 2017 at the Workforce Development Center of Thomas Nelson Community College on 4135 Ironbound Road Williamsburg starting at 8:30 am. Steve Foster, W4DMZ, has again secured the Workforce Development Center for us. The TNCC Workforce Development Center is located across the street from Panera Bread on Monticello Avenue in Williamsburg. The site is behind the Courthouse with the entrance off of Ironbound Road. The tests will be given on the 2nd floor with the room TBD. (Directions are available here). I will place signs at the entrance and if possible have some VE’s standing by the entrance outside to provide directions to the room.
Those of you who wish to either upgrade your current license or anyone wishing to take the exam for the first time the cost is still $15. The amount can be paid by check (made out to the ARRL VEC) and of course cash is always taken. Candidates who already posses a license please bring: a photo ID, your current original license or CSCE and a copy of same, and either of your social security # or your FCC/FRN registration number. Those who do not posses a license please bring a photo ID and either your social security # or FCC/FRN registration number. The SS # or FCC/FRN # must be provided on Form 605 and provided to the ARRL and the FCC. (A copy of your SS card is not needed) Calculators are allowed and we will provide scrap paper if needed, however, cell phones are not allowed to be used since they are computers and can store information. Candidates can take 1 or more of the elements and the cost is the same, $15. However, if a candidate fails an element and wishes to retake it the cost will be an additional $15. If anyone has any questions please do not hesitate to e mail me here on the reflector, at my home e mail: firstname.lastname@example.org or call/or text me or on my cell at 757 585 0375 . The cell phone will get me faster.
