Field Day is upon us, and this year it’s a return to normal. With COVID-related restrictions being lifted, we will not have to strictly enforce distancing and masks like last year. We will also be able to invite the public again to see what amateur radio and field day is about.
Field Day Will take place on June 26-27 at Abington Park on Powhatan Drive in Hayes. A map to the site is located below.
We will begin setting up at around 9am on Saturday, with the plan to be on the air at 2pm. The operation will be active for 24 hours, with tear down scheduled to begin at 2pm Sunday afternoon.
There will be a potluck dinner on Saturday evening around 6pm. Club members are providing food and drinks, and hopefully everyone will bring their appetite!
Everyone is invited to come out and join us for Field Day. We will be monitoring the ‘37 machine out at the site for a talk-in frequency. There will also be signs on Route 17 and on Powhatan Drive guiding people to the site. We look forward to seeing you June 26-27!
